El Viento

Left my home when I was a little boy
Never knew Iíd be a man someday
I caught a ride and left that town
I didnít want to hang around

I rode away on the wind
Thinking I was sure to win
I didnít know the wind could
Blow so cold

I headed south for the Rio Grande
Had no money and I had no plan
I crossed the border in an old Chevrolet
I didnít know where I would stay

I rode away on the wind
Thinking I was sure to win
I didnít know the wind could
Blow so cold

Paseando en El Viento
Paseando en El Viento
Pensando Que
Puedo ganar

I met a girl down in old Mexico
She gave me love and I gave her some
We fell in love under the Mexican sun
Before I knew it she gave me a son

He rode away on the wind
Thinking he was sure to win
He didnít know the wind could
Blow so cold

Left I home when I was a little boy
Never knew Iíd be a man someday
I caught a ride and left that town
I didnít want to hang around

I rode away on the wind
Thinking I was sure to win
I didnít know the wind could
Blow so cold

Paseando en El Viento
Paseando en El Viento
Pensando Que
Puedo ganar

I didnít know the wind could
Blow so cold
